Samui Artist - Daniel Mooij

Daniel Mooij is an artist who makes special portraits out of paper. The art is from the 18th century and is named Silhouette-art.

The name Silhouette is the name from the inventer of this special portrait-art, who was a French Minister of Finance in Paris. How does he do it? Daniel looks at your side-profile of your face and cut free-hand with a scissors your portrait in 1 minute or less!!! Normaly it takes about 2 till 3 minutes, but Daniel is probably one of the fastest silhouette-artist walking around.

And there are not many around, onlnly a few in the whole world! You can find Daniel at the best gallery in Chaweng Gallery La Fayette. If you are intrested please visit www.eyeshowyou.com

Update: Daniel is not working anymore in Chaweng please send Daniel an e-mail if you wish to contact him.
