Heavy rains in Koh Samui
Koh Samui district today issues a warning announcement notifying local people of possible heavy rainfalls and strong wind in the Gulf of Thailand. Furthermore, small boats are urged not to go off shores during the notified period, while local people residing in the risky areas are warned to be aware of flashfloods and inundation during the next four to five days!

Samui Artist - Daniel Mooij
Daniel Mooij is an artist who makes special portraits out of paper. The art is from the 18th century and is named Silhouette-art.
The name Silhouette is the name from the inventer of this special portrait-art, who was a French Minister of Finance in Paris. How does he do it? Daniel looks at your side-profile of your face and cut free-hand with a scissors your portrait in 1 minute or less!!! Normaly it takes about 2 till 3 minutes, but Daniel is probably one of the fastest silhouette-artist walking around.

New Nightclub Lounge "The Bank"
Koh Samui got a new Nightclub "The Bank" Grand opening at Friday 21. November. "The Bank" it is located near "Samui International Hospital" for any informations call 08 2286 7464 Update: I´ve been there 3 times, but there was no Party!

Kamalaya top Health and Wellness retreat in southeast Asia
The Spa Asia Crystal Awards is an annual event to honor and recognize the “best of the best” in the spa and wellness industry. Kamalaya was one of the eight finalists in the category, which included wellness destinations from Asia and one from Australia.
Kamalaya Spa won the Best Wellness Retreat award in the recent Spa Asia Crystal Awards held at the Wellness Summit Gala Dinner in Kuala Lumpur attended by over 220 industry people and members of the media.

The Angthong National Marine Park ( a great attraction off Koh samui) is closed to the public from November. 1 until re opening December. 23.
