Koh Samui - Secret Buddha Garden

"Secret Buddha Garden" is a place is worth to visit. The Secret garden is build inside the Hills of Koh Samui near the Thai Military Base reachable on Samui´s east.

It is told that the buddha garden was build by a single man, if you take a tour there this is hard to believe.

Jungle Safari and other Jeep Safari´s are offering day trips including the "Secret Buddha Garden" but you can also go there by motorbike or car.

Water is in Samui rare, please be thoughtful with the water you are using day by day. Since I live here this is the driest time in 6 years the government water is not coming regularly and the Hotels and House owners are forced to buy water.

Thai national dessert- sticky rice with mango - Khao niao mamuang!

Khao niao mamuang is the all time favorite Thai national dessert. The sticky rice is cooked in sweetened thick coconut milk, served with slices of ripe mango and sweet coconut milk. In Koh Samui there are many restaurants offering Khao niao mamuang but there are also big differences in quality. Ask the locals where they eat sticky rice with mango they know for sure!

Blackmoon Party @ Chaweng Lake - open-air Dancefloor!

Chaweng lake view is the home of the biggest open-air Party (with capacity of over 4,000  people) in Koh Samui. The party starts about 3 times a month and is one of the best Party´s you can get while your holiday, check out at Chaweng Lake view for party dates.

Many of the best Dj´s in the world are playing house and techno sounds the party starts about at 10 pm but i can recommend you to go there not before 2 am this time the party start to fill.

Samui Insider Tip - feeding an Elephant!

at Namuang Waterfall Number1 there is an Elephant trekking Camp where you can feed the elephants with bananas (20 Baht). There is also sometimes an elephant Baby and it is a lot of fun playing with the elephants for the whole family.

The elephants are directly left to at the car park after playing around take the walk to the about 18 meter high Namuang Waterfall swimming is allowed and the water is very refreshing!

Did you know? ..that the Money Exchange rates are better in Bangkok than in the other holiday destinations like Phuket, Koh Chang or Koh Samui. So if you are traveling through Bangkok better change your currency there.
